Description

Gifts towards Widening Participation at Trinity Hall ensures that access is available to everyone who has the ability that we all expect from a Trinity Hall student, regardless of financial or social background.

Why are donations necessary?

We are committed to ensuring that all students, no matter their circumstances, can have the opportunity to apply to Trinity Hall by providing good resources for aspiring applicants, as well as ensuring that all students have the same opportunities during their time in the College.

Each residential costs the College approximately £21,000.  With your generosity we hope to raise half this amount, the other half matched by the College, to support our September 2025 Residential and provide a life-changing opportunity for young people who wish to apply and show them Trinity Hall can be a place where they belong.

Donations are applied to...

With your kindness, we will be able to continue offering the following programme,

  • 'You'll Fit In' Trinity Hall's own College-based initiative to encourage applications from UK-domiciled Year 12 students from under-represented backgrounds - specifically Black, African, Black Caribbean, Pakistani and Bangladeshi.  The programme consists of a series of webinars that explore all aspects of the Admissions process as well as various social and cultural perspectives on student life in Cambridge.  There was extensive demand for the programme during its launch year, 2023/24, with 120 attending the residential programme and over 800 students participating in webinars.
The cost to run a fully funded residential at capacity for 120 students is significant and any support towards this programme would be hugely appreciated.
